ProTechna™ protects components, eliminating direct exposure to harsh downhole conditions such as temperature, pressure, chemicals, erosion, corrosion, and abrasion. Greene, Tweed's new solution utilizes thermoplastic and elastomeric materials including Chemraz® and FKM elastomers, and Arlon® grades of PEEK and PEK. Thermoplastic encapsulation testing has been successfully performed up to 25,000 psi and 300ºF/150ºC and erosion testing on FKM 709, engineered specifically for elastomeric encapsulation, has been successfully completed. ProTechna allows for the integration of functions and/or components into one assembly, potentially reducing the overall number of parts. In addition, ProTechna can provide plug and play functionality for easy field replacement. It is a completely customized solution, engineered to specific application requirements.
